Caterina Vicens (1986), originally from Pollença, a small coastal town in Mallorca, now based in Vic, Barcelona, is a versatile artist who began her career creating handcrafted and artistic ephemeral decorations for events.

In 2021, a confronting experience with plastic on a Pacific beach left a deep impression on her, marking a pivotal turning point in her career. This was the beginning of her journey as a fine artist.

Since then, she has dedicated herself to traveling the world, collecting plastics and observing trends, patterns, and curiosities behind the journey of plastic across the oceans. She then uses these findings to create her strikingly beautiful artworks and inspire viewers to make small changes.

Her simple style and poetic narrative have already moved and fascinated thousands of viewers and collectors with her early series and exhibitions.

Driven by a deep love for the sea, Caterina also dedicates part of her profits to fund small local marine conservation projects in the Mediterranean Sea.
